We keep your email, and anything you send us, to run the playtest and read your ideas. Visits are counted anonymously. No trackers, no ads, nothing sold.

Who we are

Operation Elsewhere is an independent game in development by Will Stark / Fusor Intelligent Assembly, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Contact: hello@operationelsewhere.com.

What we collect

• Playtest signups: your email address and the date you signed up.
• Suggestions: the text you send, the date, and your name and email address only if you choose to add them (both optional).
• Visit counts: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. We also count a few anonymous events: which links get clicked and, in the prototype, when a run starts and ends, how far it got and the settings used, along with the country the request came from. None of it is linked to you or your email.

We don't store your IP address or browser details with any of these. We don't use ad trackers or tracking cookies.

Why

• Your signup email has one job: inviting you to playtests and telling you when there's something to play.
• Suggestions help us decide what to build. If you added an email, we may reply to you about your suggestion.

We don't sell or share your details, and we don't use them for advertising.

Where it's kept

The site runs on Cloudflare, and signups and suggestions are stored in a Cloudflare database. Visit counts use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's Analytics Engine. To stop automated spam, both forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser when you submit and is covered by Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy. The background video and fonts are served from this site.

How long

We keep signup details until you ask us to delete them, or until playtests end and the list is no longer needed. We keep suggestions while they are useful for developing the game, unless you ask us to delete them. Anonymous game and click events in Analytics Engine are retained for three months.

Deleting your data

Email hello@operationelsewhere.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to remove it. You can also reply to any playtest email with "unsubscribe". We'll delete your email and any suggestions linked to it, and confirm when it's done. You can also ask what we hold about you.

If this notice changes, the new version will be posted on this page.
